In the panel or menu on the left, Right-click on the Removable Drive icon and left-click on “Format”.
Copy all the files from the drive onto your desktop or a network folder so that you have a backup of the files (reformatting erases the drive).
Double-click on the Removable Drive icon to view the contents.
If the Autoplay window does not come up, click on Start > My Computer (WinXP).
If you see this window popup, click on “Open Folder to View Files”
In Windows XP - Windows 7 you may see the “Autoplay” popup that says “Removable Disk” and a drive letter when you insert the Flash Drive.
Insert the drive into a USB port on your computer.
